Mentoring is the transfer of experience, knowledge and support to individuals along their own career or personal journey through shared, learned and lived experience.

Our principal consultants are James Mason and Geoff Gray. James has enjoyed a portfolio career since setting up his first online business aged 22 years of age. Now 18 years later this business is still going strong operating nationwide.

Whilst building the business James qualified as a journalist to pursue his passion for sport and over the last 15 has successfully combined his business interests with working as a sports and news reporter for the BBC.

This combination of business leadership and being a well connected communicator led to James becoming the CEO/COO at Bradford City football club. The opportunity enabled him to use his experience to spearhead a period of significant growth for the club since 2014. In the past four years James oversaw season ticket holders increase from 11,000 to 20,000, social media followers treble to 100,000 whilst building a vibrant business community with some ground breaking projects.

James spent two years as the Chief Executive at Welcome to Yorkshire, is a regular key note speaker and is currently working with a number of sports clubs, businesses and individuals providing coaching , mentoring and consultancy services specialising personal development, team motivation and achieving career goals.  James is active on social media and can be followed via @jamesmason_78 on Twitter.

Geoff is a well known face within the sports industry and the Yorkshire business fraternity. Having worked at a very high level in insurance for 25 years Geoff became the Managing Director of a Leeds based corporate insurance brokers in 1985. Subsequently he became a Director of the Oval insurance Group, a position he held until his retirement. For many years he has had a  strong connection with Yorkshire County Cricket club and the ECB organising a number of testimonial years for Yorkshire CCC players including David Bairstow, Arnie Sidebottom and Martyn Moxon as well as acting as an professional sports agent for several cricketers most recently Ryan Sidebottom.  Geoff has also been a board member of Hunslet Rugby League Club for many years.
